Requirements
## Unpaid Internship Compliance & Educational Benefits
This internship is designed to meet the criteria for an unpaid internship as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The position is for the primary benefit of the intern.
Key Compliance Points:

2. No Compensation Expectation: The intern and Jolly Grid understand that there is no expectation of compensation.
3. Academic Credit: We strongly encourage and will support interns in receiving academic credit for this internship. We are happy to work with your university's career center to complete necessary documentation.
4. Academic Calendar: The internship accommodates the intern’s academic commitments and corresponds to the academic calendar.
5. Duration: The duration is limited to the period in which the internship provides the intern with beneficial learning (e.g., one semester or summer term).
6. No Displacement: The intern’s work complements, rather than displaces, the work of paid employees while providing significant educational benefits to the intern.
7. No Job Entitlement: The intern and Jolly Grid understand that the internship is conducted without entitlement to a paid job at the conclusion of the internship.
